Additional Information

THE NEXT PORT is a classic Burger that has seen extensive upgrades in recent years.  Her previous owner owned a larger Burger, after selling that yacht they purchased this vessel out of their admiration for Burgers and their tradition of quality. Under their ownership, THE NEXT PORT was transformed in 2001 into their version of the perfect cruising yacht and was used as a live aboard while they traveled between their home in Maryland and points south.

The refit included the installation of new Cummins 450C Main Engines, new generators and virtually all other systems on board from piping to electrical panels.  The galley was relocated the lower deck to the main deck and a fourth stateroom and laundry center were added.  A new bow thruster, davit and tender were installed.  THE NEXT PORT also received new paint, and new teak decks.

Her current owner is in every way determined to keep the yacht as new and fresh as when they purchased her as evidenced by their own litany of updates and improvements.  Under their ownership, THE NEXT PORT has received new teak decks, the entire yacht was painted, most pumps and motors were replaced and/or updated, a new night vision FLIR was installed and well as new GPS and radar systems, new SSB radio and a weather receiver was added, new electric windshield wipers and washers installed, new EZ2CY windows enclose the aft deck, the tender crane system was rebuilt as well as many other improvements. Any yachting enthusiast recognizing the Burger/Sparkman & Stevens pedigree and will immediately see THE NEXT PORT as a golden opportunity.  While it may seem a contradiction in terms, she is truly a modern classic.
