May 11, 2014—Manitowoc, Wisconsin, U.S.A. - Burger Boat Company is pleased to announce the delivery of CHICAGO'S CLASSIC LADY, a 98' steel passenger vessel to Chicago's First Lady Cruises, Chicago, IL.
CHICAGO'S CLASSIC LADY, designed by Seacraft Design, LLC of Sturgeon Bay, WI, departed the Burger shipyard Saturday afternoon, May 10, 2014, on her delivery voyage to the Chicago waterfront. Arriving early the next morning, she was warmly welcomed by a beautiful Chicago spring day.
CHICAGO'S CLASSIC LADY features exterior styling that reflects the handsome elegance of early 20th century luxury yachts. Richly decorated in mahogany and brass tones, she is designed to carry a maximum of 299 passengers. With an open-air upper deck and climate controlled interior spaces, a carpeted main salon with large arched windows, round tables and upholstered chairs, passengers can enjoy the beautiful Chicago skyline throughout the vessel.
She will be used for upscale private parties, wedding rehearsal dinners and corporate events, as well as, serve as an official vessel for the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise. Only the Chicago Architecture Foundation and Chicago's First Lady Cruises can showcase Chicago's world renowned architecture with this level of style, class and comfort. Built by Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, WI, CHICAGO'S CLASSIC LADY is powered by two (2) Caterpillar C12 main engines and has two (2) Caterpillar C4.4 generators. CHICAGO'S CLASSIC LADY is certified USCG Subchapter K.
