March 29, 2013—The sleek styling of this 42m reflects Burger’s sophisticated approach in offering new and innovative designs. Incorporating the latest technology and a contemporary design, the Burger 42m provides her owners and guests with luxurious cruising to any destination.
Dramatic outdoor living spaces and easy access to the water are key design elements strategically planned as part of the Burger 42m. With large exterior spaces, guests can relax in a secluded area, mingle with friends or enjoy the various water toys on board. For those more adventurous, the 42m offers easy access to the water from the yacht’s transforming swim platforms.
While designed for those who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, the interior design and attention to detail showcases Burger’s extraordinary design talents. The spacious Main Salon and Dining space can convert to an indoor/outdoor area by simply opening the port and starboard double sliding doors and the aft curve sliders. The luxurious full beam Main Deck Master Stateroom includes a large Owner’s Lounge/Office area, his and hers en suite baths and generous closets. The Main Foyer features a double curved staircase, one leading to the lower Guest areas and the other to the upper deck. The Guest accommodations consist of four fully appointed staterooms with en suite baths. The upper deck includes a Sky Lounge, which opens to a private deck aft, a private Captain’s stateroom and command center. The Galley is designed for efficient use and provides ample room for conversation and leisure. The Crew area includes accommodations for up to six crew members forward. The Burger 42m alsoincludes a spacious Crew Lounge and a well equipped laundry facility with directaccessto the guest areas for ease of housekeeping services. Aft of the Engine Room is the yacht’s tender garage concealing her 12m (20') tender and various water toys. When the tender is launched, the aft portion of the tender garage becomes an extension of the yacht’s swim platform. Two personal watercrafts are stored on the foredeck.
Mechanically, the Burger 42m represents Burger’s innovative approach to propulsion systems. While available with standard diesel propulsion, the Burger engineering group is reviewing alternative systems including diesel electric and various hybrid options to make the Burger 42m an efficient, long range cruising yacht.
