Job Description
Carpenters perform a wide range of carpentry/joinery tasks, primarily building high-end cabinets and furniture. Most work is interior finish carpentry, with very little rough carpentry, framing, etc. This position involves working with engineering drawings and blueprints to construct the interior of luxury yachts. Tough angles and curves, exotic wood species, and top-quality finishing are the norm in our joinery shop.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have prior experience in finish carpentry, especially in a cabinet shop or building high-end furniture. Prior experience in the marine industry is a plus, but not required. Candidates must reliably produce high quality work in a cost-effective manner.
An Associate’s degree or journeyman’s credentials in a skilled trade and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, etc. is preferred.
